Terms of Service

The rules that govern your use of SoloTrade — written to be read, not skimmed past.

Last updated: 18 September 2026

This page is the agreement between you and SoloTrade.io. We have tried to write it in plain language, and to state things that are actually true of the service today — including what is not finished yet. If anything here is unclear, tell us.

1. Who we are and what this agreement covers

SoloTrade.io (referred to below as “SoloTrade”, “we” or “us”) operates a web platform for building, testing and learning about trading strategies. By creating an account, using the site, or using any tool on it, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

These terms apply to every part of the platform: the calculators, the backtesting studio, the training ground, the learning center and the market pages. They form a binding agreement between you and us.

2. What SoloTrade is — and what it is not

SoloTrade is an educational and analytical tool. It lets you express a set of trading rules in plain language, replay them against historical market data, and see what would have happened — including the costs, the drawdowns and the losing streaks.

SoloTrade is not a broker, dealer, exchange, investment adviser, portfolio manager or signal provider. We do not execute trades, hold funds or assets, or manage money on your behalf. Nothing on the platform — including results, charts, articles and AI-generated reviews — is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing should be read as a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security or asset.

Historical simulation is not a prediction. A strategy that performed well on past data may lose money in the future, and simulated results do not capture every real-world factor: order routing, liquidity, borrow availability, taxes and your own execution discipline. Every decision you make is your own.

3. Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
  • Accounts are created through Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping access to that Google account secure — anything done through your SoloTrade account is treated as done by you.
  • One person, one account. Please do not share credentials or resell access.
  • Your email address comes from Google and cannot be edited here, so keep that account accurate.

4. Acceptable use

  • scrape, crawl or bulk-download the platform or its data, or use automated means to bypass usage limits, plan restrictions or authentication;
  • access another user's account, records or data, or probe, scan or test the security of the service without our written permission;
  • interfere with how the service operates — including flooding the backtest queue, circumventing concurrency limits, or deliberately triggering repeated failed runs;
  • reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense or repackage the platform or its market data;
  • submit content that is unlawful, infringing or malicious, or that you do not have the right to share.

5. Credits, plans and how usage is charged

SoloTrade runs on a credit system. Credits are a usage allowance — not money, not a security, and not a stored-value instrument. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

  • New accounts receive a one-time signup allowance of credits.
  • Each engine run — a backtest or a training-ground validation — consumes credits. How many depends on your plan.
  • AI strategy review is priced separately. On paid plans it runs automatically after a run; on the free plan you start it manually.
  • If a run fails on our side — an engine error, a timeout, or an abandoned job — the credits charged for that run are returned to your balance automatically.
  • If an AI review cannot be produced, the credits charged for it are returned. Re-running a review that already succeeded does not charge again; the stored result is returned instead.
  • We will give notice on the site before changing how credits are consumed.

6. Plans and payment

Payments are processed by our payment provider (Creem). We never receive your full card details.

Paid plans are shown on the pricing page with their current prices and the features each tier unlocks (longer history windows, intraday data, and so on).

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed in US dollars and can be purchased directly from the pricing page. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Creem).

Subscriptions renew automatically each month, and you can cancel at any time: after cancelling you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not charge again. Refunds, including the 14-day money-back guarantee on a first paid charge, are set out in our Refund Policy.

Paid plans are billed through a third-party payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card details — only the payment status and identifiers needed to enable and renew a plan.

7. AI-generated content

Some features produce text with a large language model — for example, the strategy review attached to a backtest. To do that, we send a description of your strategy and its results to the model provider. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is shared.

AI output is generated automatically, can be incomplete or plainly wrong, and is not reviewed by a human before you see it. It is provided to help you think about your own rules — nothing more. It is not advice, not a recommendation, and must not be relied on as either.

We apply automated filters that suppress output which reads like a buy or sell recommendation, but no filter is perfect. If you see something that looks like advice, treat it as a bug and tell us.

8. Market data and third-party sources

Historical prices, news and calendar data come from third-party providers. They can be delayed, incomplete, adjusted, or occasionally wrong. We validate and normalize the data we store, but we cannot guarantee it is error-free, and we are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of it.

Data windows are also limited by how far back each source actually goes, so the effective history for a particular symbol may be shorter than the depth you selected.

9. Your content and our content

  • Yours: the strategies you build, the settings you submit and the runs you save remain yours. You grant us only the limited license we need to store and process them so the service works — and to send a strategy description to the model provider when you use the AI review.
  • Ours: the platform itself — its code, design, text, structure and the compiled market-data files we maintain — belongs to us or our licensors, and is protected by copyright and database rights.
  • You can delete your backtest history, practice history and feedback at any time from your account page. Deleting from the interface removes the stored records together with their associated data.

10. Availability, changes and preview features

We aim to keep the service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, limit or remove features, and we may carry out maintenance that makes the service temporarily unavailable. Anything labeled as new or preview may change or disappear without notice.

Some tools have plan-dependent limits — for example intraday intervals and maximum history depth. Those limits are part of the service, and using the platform does not grant a permanent right to any particular feature.

11. Termination

You may stop using SoloTrade at any time and may ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if your use puts the service or other users at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, or that any data, calculation or AI output will be accurate or complete.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost trading gains, lost data or business interruption arising out of or relating to your use of the service — even if we were advised that such damages were possible.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 50. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Governing law and changes to these terms

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction — except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice on the site or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use SoloTrade after a change means you accept the updated terms.
