About SoloTrade

A small, self-funded project with one opinion: strategy tools should make you more careful, not more confident.

Why this site exists

Most new traders do not fail because they lack indicators. They fail because they never turned an idea into explicit rules, never tested those rules on data they had not already seen, and never accounted for costs. The tools that could catch this were aimed at two groups: developers, who write strategies in code, and institutions, who buy platforms with five-figure annual contracts. Everyone else was left with spreadsheets and hindsight.

SoloTrade.io started as an attempt to close that gap: describe a strategy by choosing rules in plain language, replay it against real historical prices bar by bar, and be told honestly what happened — including the parts that look bad. No code to write, no broker account to connect, no expectation that you already know what a profit factor is.

How this was built

SoloTrade is a small, self-funded project, not a venture-backed startup with a growth team. It was built incrementally over months, feature by feature, and each addition was tested against real market data before the next one started — the training ground, the intraday intervals, the AI review and the account system each arrived that way.

That history shapes the product. Where a number could be ambiguous, we write down the unit and the convention rather than leaving it to interpretation. Where a number could mislead, we try to make its limits visible. And when something is not finished, we say so — the pricing page states plainly which intraday intervals each plan does and does not include, rather than implying everything is available.

What we hold to

1Show the losing streaks, not just the winning ones

A backtest that reports only the headline return is a sales pitch. Every result here includes drawdown, trade count, the longest losing run and the same-period buy-and-hold comparison — because a strategy you cannot stomach during a bad stretch is not a strategy you can follow.

2Make the numbers auditable

Metrics are computed in our own engine, from price files we store and validate, and they are checked against each other (profit factor against average win and loss, expectancy against trade count). When something is inconsistent, the platform is built to surface it rather than round it away.

3Use AI for review, never for prediction

The AI reads your rules and points out gaps, contradictions and parameters worth reconsidering. It is structurally prevented from telling you what an asset will do: recommendations are restricted to changes inside your own parameter space, and a keyword filter blocks anything that reads like buy or sell advice.

4Never imply a guaranteed outcome

There are no projected returns, no profit promises and no simulated certainty anywhere on this site. Where a limit or a caveat exists — data availability, plan restrictions, an engine assumption — it is stated in the interface, not buried.

5Keep the free plan genuinely usable

The free plan is not a demo. It includes the entire calculator set, daily backtesting and the training ground, without a card and without a countdown.

What we will not do

  • We will not sell signals, managed accounts or profit-sharing arrangements.
  • We will not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers — there is no advertising on the site.
  • We will not publish performance claims we cannot reproduce from the platform itself.
  • We will not hide a plan restriction until the moment you hit it; limits are enforced and shown.

Where we are going

The product roadmap is public in spirit: changes land on the changelog as they ship, including the ones that are mostly plumbing. Work in progress includes broader language support, richer usage statistics and a proper account-level billing flow so paid plans can be purchased without contacting us.

If you have found something wrong, or something missing that would have helped you, the feedback form goes straight to the person who writes the code — and replies appear in your account page.
