How the credit system works
Everything that runs the engine costs credits; everything that does not is free. Here is the whole model — no asterisks.

Which plan do I need?
Answer by what you want to test, not by reading feature lists.
“I want to check whether a simple rule works before risking money.”
Answer
Free
Daily bars and up to 2 years of history are enough to see whether a rule survives costs and drawdowns.
Start free →“My rules act on intraday moves, but I do not need minute-by-minute precision.”
Answer
Pro
15- and 30-minute bars cover intraday structure, and 10 years of daily history gives the longer-term comparison the intraday window cannot.
See pricing →“I want to test reactions to short-lived moves — entries that live and die inside an hour.”
Answer
Max
1- and 5-minute bars are what make those rules testable at all. Anything coarser averages the signal away.

Why plans are split this way
The line between free and paid is drawn at data, not at features. Daily bars for a couple of years are small enough to serve to everyone; a minute-by-minute series is hundreds of times larger for the same period, and it has to be stored, kept in sync, validated and then replayed bar by bar. That is the cost the paid plans exist to cover.
It also happens to be the honest dividing line: the people who need minute-level data are the people who get the most from it. Nothing on this page is priced by how much you might earn — every plan runs the same engine over the same validated data, and no plan buys a better-looking result.
The credit cost per run is identical on every plan, including free. Paid plans are not a way to buy cheaper runs; they are a way to buy more resolution and more history.
Questions
Billing
How do credits actually work?
Credits are a usage allowance, not money. A backtest costs 3 credits and an AI review costs 2. New accounts start with 50 credits; paid plans add 360 or 1000 credits at the start of every month.
What does that mean in practice?
On the free plan, 50 signup credits cover about 10 backtests with a review each, or 16 runs without. Pro's monthly 360 covers roughly 72 runs with reviews, and Max's 1000 covers about 200.
Do unused credits roll over?
No. The monthly allowance is granted each calendar month and the balance does not expire on its own — you keep whatever is left in your balance — but a month you do not use is a month of allowance you did not draw on.
What happens when I run out?
Runs are blocked until the next monthly allowance or a top-up, and the interface tells you before you start rather than after. Nothing is charged retroactively and no run is started without the credits to pay for it.
Can I buy extra credits?
Not yet — credit packs are on the roadmap alongside automated checkout. Until then, contact us and we will sort out what you need.
If a run fails, do I lose the credits?
No. If the engine errors, times out, or a job is abandoned on our side, the charge is returned automatically. The same applies to an AI review that could not be produced.
Plans and payment
Can I subscribe right now?
Yes — paid plans are monthly subscriptions and you can subscribe directly from this page. The prices shown are current, and the plan terms (monthly billing, automatic renewal, cancel anytime and a 14-day money-back guarantee) apply to them.
Will I be charged automatically?
Yes. Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically. You can cancel at any time, and after cancelling you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. A 14-day money-back guarantee also applies to your first paid charge. Both are set out in our Refund Policy.
Is there a discount for paying annually?
Not currently. Monthly is the only billing period we offer.
Is there an academic or non-profit price?
Not at the moment. The free plan is the same for everyone and is not time-limited.
What happens to my credits if I upgrade or downgrade?
Your balance carries over untouched. A change of plan takes effect for the next monthly allowance, not retroactively — we do not claw back credits already granted.
Capability and data
Why do shorter intervals cost more?
Data volume. A minute-by-minute series is hundreds of times larger than a daily one for the same history, and it has to be stored, validated and replayed bar by bar. Longer history and denser intervals are the things that actually cost us money, which is why plans are separated along those lines rather than by features like exports that cost nothing extra.
Do paid plans buy better accuracy?
No, and be sceptical of anything that claims to. Every plan runs the same engine on the same validated data. The difference is the resolution and depth of that data — not the quality of the maths.
Does a longer history give better results?
It gives more honest ones. A rule tested on two years has seen one kind of market; ten years usually contains at least one regime it was not designed for. That is the point of the deeper window, not a promise of higher returns.
How far back does intraday data actually go?
It depends on the interval: 60 days on 1-minute bars, 180 days on 5-minute, 365 days on 15-minute, and up to 1095 days on 30-minute bars. Individual instruments can have less, depending on when they listed and what the source provides.
Do I need to connect a broker?
No. Nothing here connects to a brokerage, places orders or touches funds. Strategies are tested against historical data and exported as files.
What applies to every plan
Cancel anytime
Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled whenever you like — you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not charge again.
Failed runs are refunded
Engine errors, timeouts and abandoned jobs return their credits automatically.
Your data is yours to delete
Backtests, practice sessions and feedback can be deleted from your account page, along with their stored files.
No ads, no data selling
The site runs no advertising. Analytics loads only after you consent to it, and personal data is never sold or shared for marketing.
Start on the free plan
It is not a trial and there is no countdown. Build a strategy, run it against up to 2 years of daily data, and upgrade only if you need finer bars or deeper history.
